Native for Asia (China, Japan, Korea and Japan), the species has been accidentally introduced into the United States and Europe (reports from Germany, Switzerland and e.t.c.), yet not reported from Caucasus. The finding in Georgia, probably is first on Caucasus. Considered to be an agricultural pest.
