Comment: Known from a single location in Svaneti; collection for local subsistence (pillow / mattress filler, window insulator) or international trade (a source of certain substances) is a plausisble threat for all species of the genus Usnea. The single population of the species is thus prone to the effects of human activities and is capable of becoming Critically Endangered or even Extinct in a very short time period.
