H. lucorum is widespread species in Georgia. However it usually occurs in or near urban territories and in some limstone areas where anthropogenic influence is somewhat significant. It does not live in true natural habitats such as forest and subalpine grasslands.
Outside of Georgia it has circum-Mediterranean distribution and in many European countries (France, Czech republic etc) it has recently appeared and is considered as an invasive species.
